Honours & Awards Ceremony At Govt House
The annual Honours and Awards Ceremony took place at Government House, with members of the uniformed services acknowledged with long service awards, while recent recipients of the Queen’s Certificates and Badges of Honour were also recognised.
A Government spokesperson said, “Last Thursday [15 May], Deputy Premier, the Hon. Walter Roban, JP, MP, and the Minister of National Security, the Hon. Wayne M. Caines, JP, MP, joined Governor John Rankin in celebrating the service of those in the Bermuda Police Service, the Royal Bermuda Regiment and the Department of Corrections.
“During the annual Honours and Awards Ceremony, which took place at Government House, members of the uniformed services were acknowledged with long service awards.
“Also during the special ceremony, recent recipients of the Queen’s Certificates and Badges of Honour were recognised and presented with their awards. They included Meredith Ebbin – for services in journalism, Janeiro Tucker – for services in sports and Sean Tucker – for services in broadcasting.

I just wonder why Roban is sitting in the middle. The Governor is the Queen’s representative in Bermuda.
