Amari Ebbin Plays For Cardiff Cricket Club
Bermudian Cricketer Amari Ebbin was in action Saturday [June 1] in South Wales Premier Cricket League – Premier East Division 1 for Cardiff Premier 1st team as they won by 4 wickets.
Cardiff lost the toss and was sent to field. Ammanford CC scored 242-9 in [50 0vers] with Mathew Fisher scoring 89.
Cardiff replied with 246-60 [49.1 overs] with Greg Holmes [Captain] scoring 128 and Prem Sisodiya scoring 73. Ebbin was the wicket keeper and had two catches behind the stumps.
Ebbin had a good day behind the wicket assisting his teammates with the victory. Ebbin came to bat at #8 and was not out on 3. Cardiff cross the target score with 5 balls to spare. Ebbin was satisfied with his performance and is working hard on his game in training. Ebbin also plays in Cardiff’s highest T20 league.
So far this season Ebbin has batted, in both formats, 7 times and scored 197 of 204 balls. He has a 96% strike rate and an average of 49. His High score in T20 was 75 and in T50 55. Behind the stumps Ebbin, has also had a good start, taken 7 catches, 3 stumpings and 2 unassisted run outs.
This is Ebbin’s first season playing at the highest level of cricket for non-professionals in the UK. His main goal for 29 is to improve overall as wicket keeper and batsman and become a regular member off Cardiff’s 1st team.
