Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championships
The Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championships will be taking place at Port Royal Golf Course from Friday, June 14th to Sunday, June 16th.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championships will be taking place at Port Royal Golf Course from Friday, 14th – Sunday, 16th June, 2019. This is arguably one of the most prestigious of the major events run by the Bermuda Golf Association on the golfing calendar and there are several divisions for players to choose in entering the event. It is encouraging to see several overseas entrants and there is a good quality local field currently signed-up. This is a great opportunity for Bermuda’s top amateur players to compete against each other in a competitive environment and on one of Bermuda’s finest courses.
“Players may select from a number of options depending on their circumstances:
Championship Divisions [54 holes]:
- i] Men’s Championship will be played from the black tees
- ii] Senior Men’s Championship [55 years or older] will be played from the white tees
- iii] Ladies Championship will be played from the red tees
- iv] Senior Ladies Championship [50 years or older] will be played from the red tees
“Round 1 tee times will start on Friday at 11.30am and continue into the afternoon.
“There is also a First Flight option for players who are only available to play at the weekend;
First Flight [36 holes]
- i] Men’s First Flight will be played from the blue tees
- ii] Ladies First Flight will be played from the red tees
“The reigning 2018 Men’s Champion is Will Haddrell, the Ladies Champion is Elizabeth Parsons, the Senior Men’s Champion is Hav Trott and the Ladies Senior Champion is Katrin Burnie.
