CedarBridge & Ocean View Graduation Event
Students from CedarBridge Academy recently had a surprise visit from professional footballer Nahki Wells, who stopped in to greet the students before preparing to tee off as the school and Ocean View Golf Course teamed up to mark their second graduating event.
A spokesperson said, “As CedarBridge Academy and Ocean View Golf Course continue to bridge the gap, May 31 marked the second successful graduating event.
“The partnership, which started in 2018, involves a golf academy, students managing their social media accounts, students working in the restaurant, and students working in the pro shop/caddy shop areas.
“This programme is designed to prepare S3 and S4 students looking to train at entry levels for the workforce. Additionally, it teaches the golfing students the basic fundamentals of the game.”
Deputy Principal Christopher Swan, 2019 graduating class, Principal Kenneth Caesar:
“This year, the excitement heightened as our students had a surprise visit from professional footballer Nahki Wells, who stopped in to greet the students before preparing to tee off.
“At the 2019 annual memorial event, the students of the IT section created a video of the story of Ocean View which was extremely touching and a distinct display of their talent.
“It is an all-inclusive excellent initiative which is fully supported by the faculty, the club, the course management, and the restaurant concessionaire.”
