The U.S. Consulate and the Bermuda National Library will host a screening of Stonewall Uprising to highlight LGBTQ Pride Month and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising on Tuesday, June 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the National Library.
“Stonewall Uprising explores events surrounding the three day protest by members of the LGBT community following a police raid at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, Manhattan on June 28, 1969. In this American Experience documentary, those who took part in the historic event share their story and describe what essentially led to a world-wide human rights movement that remains relevant today,” a spokesperson said.
