Woman Injured By Boat Propeller At Shelly Bay
A woman was transported to hospital on Saturday [June 15] after sustaining cuts to the leg from a vessel’s propeller at Shelly Bay.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Saturday 15th June, 5:45 pm – Bermuda Fire Dispatch informed Bermuda Radio that an ambulance had been dispatched to Penhurst Park, North Shore to rendezvous with Marine Police, to transfer a woman who had sustained cuts to the leg from a vessel’s propeller, while located at Shelly Bay. The patient was successfully transferred and PMB are investigating the cause of the accident.”

Why transport an injured party via a bumpy boat ride 2 miles away when there was a freeking ambulance at Shelly Bay Beach.
Seriously.
Could be that there was no second ambulance to replace it and so it needed to stay put in case an emergency occurred on land.
Ummm quicker via deep water?
