Squash: Bermuda Win Three Matches In Trinidad

The team portion of the 2019 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association [CASA] Individual Squash Tournament got underway in Trinidad with Bermuda’s teams taking to the courts.

The Bermuda boys team ended the day with a 1 & 1 record. They defeated Trinidad & Tobago 3 – 2, winning games for Bermuda saw Anaya Smith defeat Michael Chin Lee 11-6, 11-7, 11-6, Taylor Carrick defeat Kobie Khan 11-3, 11-2, 11-5 and Charlie Riker defeat Joshua Poon 11-4, 11-5, 11-8.

The boys would later fall 4 – 1 to Guyana, Carrick would be the only Bermuda winner in the match as he defeated Daniel Islam 10-12, 11-0, 11-3, 11-4.

The Bermuda Girls defeated Trinidad & Tobago 3 – 0 in their lone match, picking up the first win for Bermuda was Taliah Wade who defeated Mya Francois 10-12, 11-6, 11-7, 11-6. Ariana Lowther defeated Aimee De Verteuil 2-11, 11-4, 3-11, 11-9, 11-4 and Abigail Brewer defeated Chloe Walcott 5-11, 11-7, 11-4, 12-10.
