BF&M Joins Bermuda Championship As Sponsor
The Bermuda Championship has announced BF&M as the official volunteer programme sponsor for the tournament, which is set to take place October 28 through November 3 at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton.
John Wight, Chairman and CEO of BF&M Limited, said, “The success of any world-class event is due in no small part to the enthusiasm and hard work of the local volunteers. We have had first-hand experience of this in Bermuda with events like the America’s Cup and the WTS Bermuda Triathlon.
“BF&M believes that community engagement is key and we are proud to support the opportunity to involve as many Bermudians and Bermuda residents as possible by sponsoring the official volunteer programme in this inaugural year.”
A spokesperson said, “In order to run a successful tournament, over 600 volunteers will be needed to fill a variety of positions. Golf knowledge isn’t required to volunteer; in fact, the tournament has a variety of opportunities for golfers and non-golfers alike.
“Those interested are encouraged to register early online to reserve a spot on their preferred committee, as spots are filling up quickly.
“We are thrilled to welcome BF&M as the volunteer programme sponsor for the Bermuda Championship. The commitment of BF&M Limited, along with the dedication of our volunteers, is key to making this event a success. It is extremely important to us that our volunteers are taken care of and have a wonderful experience.
