Minister Foggo Congratulates Cricket Team
“Such an amazing display of athleticism, discipline, poise and talent,” said the Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports Lovitta Foggo following Bermuda’s excellent performance during this week’s ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup qualifying matches.
Minister Foggo said, “Our national team has generated so much enthusiasm across the island by securing a final place at ICC Twenty20 World Cup Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates, and the Ministry of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports extends its congratulations to the coaches and our cricketers for achieving this success.”
“In the upcoming months, all of Bermuda will be following their journey with great interest and pride as our national cricket team looks to make history on the world stage. We wish them the best of luck and we hope to celebrate an even greater achievement when they return home from the UAE.”
Well done team. Congrats. Keep up the good work Minister.
Well done team . I agree. But Kept it up minister? Keep what up? Did she play?
BCB reach out to all of the training squad to practice and select the strongest team. The entire training squad should be practicing now 4-5 times a week and then pick the strongest team. Inter squad games should begin immediately. These guys did well, but the next level is a different story. No favoritism. The team should not be selected already and word is it has been, fix this misconception. This can’t be so if we are to win one of the spots to Australia. Talent and demeanor should dictate selection. Coach Bascome contact every potential player to come out to training, remember these guys will now try to keep others out so it’s up to you to reach out to all potential players yourself. Well done team, now let’s be ready with the best we have to offer!!!!
