Bermuda Regiment Embodied For Hurricane

In preparation for Hurricane Humberto, the Governor has signed an order to embody 120 members of the Royal Bermuda Regiment as of 5pm on Wednesday.

“The Governor, His Excellency John Rankin has signed an order to embody 120 members of the Royal Bermuda Regiment as of 1700 [5.00 p.m.] on Wednesday, 18th September 2019 in preparation for Hurricane Humberto,”  a statement from Government House said.

“The Royal Bermuda Regiment is trained and well-practised in hurricane response and will deploy to both ends of Bermuda in order to be ready to help get the island back on its feet as necessary.”

Governor John Rankin said: “I know that the men and women who serve as soldiers of the Regiment are well trained and stand ready to do their duty on land and at sea to assist in recovery following Hurricane Humberto.”
