BUEI Films To Screen Vita & Virginia On Sept 8

A 2018 biographical drama about the fiery friendship and romance between two 1920s literary luminaries will be screening as part of the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] Films series on Sunday [Sept 8].

Vita and Virginia tells the story of poet and novelist Vita Sackville [Gemma Arterton] and iconic modernist author Virginia Woolf [Elizabeth Debicki].

When the two cross paths, the magnetic Vita decides the beguiling, stubborn and gifted Virginia will be her next conquest, no matter the cost.

The women forge an unconventional affair, a relationship which inspires one of Virginia’s most celebrated novels, Orlando.

Adapted from the acclaimed 1992 play by Dame Eileen Atkins,Vita and Virginia premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film will be showing at the BUEI’s Tradewinds Auditorium at 5:15 pm.
