Video: ‘Taking Off’ On Airport Charity Classic
Skyport has released the latest episode of ‘Taking Off’, a video series with host Mikaela Pearman that highlights the airport redevelopment project, with this episode highlighting the second annual Airport Charity Classic – a golf tournament aimed at raising money for local charities.
Speaking in the episode, Mikaela Pearman said, “Skyport, Aecon and the Bermuda Airport Authority have teamed up once again to host the second annual Airport Charity Classic – a golf tournament aimed at raising money for local charities.
“The event will be held on October 11 at the Tucker’s Point Golf Club where we expect up to 120 golfers to come out for a day of fun to raise money.
“In keeping with our aim of investing in Bermuda’s young people, this year’s charities are SCARS and Tomorrow’s Voices. SCARS – or “Saving Children And Revealing Secrets;” is Bermuda’s only child sexual abuse prevention charity.
“Tomorrow’s Voices is designed to meet the individual needs of children who are diagnosed with Autism, are on the Autism Spectrum or have a Developmental Disability.
“The entry fee for the Airport Charity Classic is $1200 for a foursome and includes a BBQ lunch, green fees, cocktail reception, gourmet buffet dinner and more.
Last year, we raised over $33,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda and Mirrors. This year, with your help, we hope to raise even more!
