Bowen & Walker Both Score In Thomas Win

Bermuda’s Zenawi Bowen and MacQuille Walker both scored for their Thomas College men’s soccer team as hammered Northern Vermont University-Lyndon by a score of 12-0.

The school’s match report said, “The Thomas College men’s soccer team had two players score hat tricks as they defeated Northern Vermont University-Lyndon 12-0 in a North Atlantic Conference [NAC] game on Saturday afternoon at Smith Field. The Terriers twelve goals are their highest offensive output in a game since 2015.

“Woodlin Placide [Les Cayes, Haiti] scored twice in the first five minutes to give the terriers the early lead. MacQuille Walker [Hamilton Parish, Bermuda] curved a corner kick in through the Lyndon keepers’ hands to make it 3-0 in the 10th minute.

“Zenawi Bowen [St. George's, Bermuda] scored his sixth of the year 1:08 later to make it 4-0. Eric LaBrie [Yarmouth, Maine] scored in the 31st minute, before Placide completed his hat trick to make it 6-0. LaBrie scored again in the final minutes of the half to make it 7-0 at the break.

“Josh Morrissey [Scarborough, Maine] opened the scoring in the second, netting his third of the year in the 68th minute. Avian Girard [Castries, St. Lucia] scored four minutes later, followed by LaBrie’s third of the game in the 82nd minute. Girard scored again in the 84th, before Jack Gallagher [Camden, Maine] made it a 12-0 final score with a goal in the 88th.”
