Football: Premier & First Division Results
North Village Rams, PHC Zebras, Dandy Town Hornets, Vasco, Devonshire Colts, Flanagan’s Onions, and St. George’s Colts all claimed victories in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.
Premier: North Village Rams 2 – X-Road’s 0
The North Village Rams defeated visiting X-Road’s 2 – 0 at Bernard Park. The North Village Rams took the lead in the 18th minute when Justin Bell scored and an own goal in the 29th minute earned the North Village Rams the 2 – 0 lead and the three points.
Premier: PHC Zebras 3 – Devonshire Cougars 2
The PHC Zebras came back from two goals down to defeat the visiting Devonshire Cougars 3 – 2 at PHC Stadium. The Cougars were ahead 2 – 0 after 20 minutes when Drewonde Bascome and Jahzardae Samuels scored a goal each. The Zebras got second half strikes from Marco Warren, Diondre Dowling and Cecoy Robinson to give the defending league champions the victory.
Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 4 – Somerset Trojans 3
At St. John’s Field, the Dandy Town Hornets defeated the visiting Somerset Trojans 4 – 3. The Hornets got two goals from Oneiko Lowe, with Jomei Bean-Lindo and Clay Darrell adding a goal each, while Jaz Rattery-Smith scored twice for the Trojans and Jeze Butterfield added the other.
First: Vasco 2 – Ireland Rangers 0
At Bernard Park, Vasco picked up a 2 – 0 win over visiting Ireland Rangers. Richard Ponte and Ryan Lopes scored a goal each to see Vasco to victory.
First: Hamilton Parish 1 – Devonshire Colts 3
The Devonshire Colts traveled to the Wellington Oval and defeated their host Hamilton Parish 3 – 1. Senoj Mitchell scored twice and Jehkelyo Burgess added the other, while John Hunt-Tucker scored the lone goal for Hamilton Parish.
First: Flanagan’s Onions 2 – St. David’s 0
At BAA Field, the Flanagan’s Onions defeated visiting St. David’s 2 – 0. Vuk Panic scored in the 20th minute and Anthony Rocker doubled the lead in the 61st minute.
First: St. George’s Colts 4 – Young Men Social Club 0
At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts defeated Young Men Social Club 4 – 0. Jahron Dickinson found the back of the net twice, while Jahki Brangman and Lashon Dill added a goal each.
