Hotel Association Pay Tribute To Walton Brown
The Board of Directors and members of the Bermuda Hotel Association [BHA] said they were shocked and saddened to learn of the untimely passing of MP Walton Brown.
Stephen Todd, CEO of the BHA stated that the association had “always enjoyed a very positive and amenable working relationship with the Hon. Walton Brown in his former capabilities as the Minister of Home Affairs, and more recently as the former Minister responsible for the Cabinet Office.”
“The former Minister had always welcomed and sought input from the association on matters specific to labour relations and immigration, prior to implementing any changes which directly impacted the hospitality and hotel industry” stated Mr. Todd.
“This created and fostered an environment of cooperation and understanding, which ensured that the industry was able to focus and concentrate our energy on core goals of providing high standards of service to our visitors, and a welcoming working environment for our colleagues.
“On behalf of the BHA members we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of the Hon. Walton Brown JP MP at this difficult time, as we reflect on, and thank him for his committed and dedicated service to people of Bermuda. May he rest in peace.”
