October 23, 2019

The Department of Workforce Development will host a Job Fair on Wednesday, October 30th  at Pier Six from 3.00pm to 5.30pm.

A Government spokesperson said, “Our Government is committed to introducing meaningful solutions aimed at improving people’s lives. We envision a Bermuda where there is a prosperous economy that works for everyone.

“And a critical part of that means providing jobs for Bermudians,” said the Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports, the Hon. Lovitta Foggo, JP, MP, in announcing today that the Department of Workforce Development [DWD] will host a Job Fair on October 30th.

“Next Wednesday’s Job Fair will take place at Pier Six [Front Street, Hamilton] from 3.00 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.

“The aim, said Minister Foggo, is to pair unemployed or underemployed individuals with prospective employers. Jobs in the areas of hospitality, retail, customer service, automotive, Government, healthcare, the restaurant industry and more are being offered.

Minister Foggo said, “On October 30, the Department of Workforce Development is partnering with a number of employers to host a Job Fair, and we are thankful for their willingness to collaborate with us.

“We encourage anyone who is unemployed or underemployed to attend so they can take advantage of the opportunities that are available. In advance of the Job Fair, we’re asking interested persons to visit the DWD to ensure they’re registered and job ready by having their resumes updated and any skills development completed.”

“Individuals seeking more information about next week’s job fair can email: jloweteart@gov.bm or call the Department of Workforce Development at 297-7714 or 297-7716.”
