Saltus Wins BSSF Primary School Swim Meet

Saltus Grammar School won the first event on the BSSF calendar after winning the Primary School Swim Meet at the National Sports Center Pool.

Saltus were crowned overall champions after collecting 311 points. Warwick Academy finished second with 279 and Somersfield Academy came third with 195.

BHS were crowned Girls champions with 187 points. Warwick finished second with 132 and Somersfield Academy claimed third with 107.

Saltus cruised to a 60 point win in the Boys Division after scoring 217 points. Again Warwick finished second with 147 while Somersfield rounded out the top three with 88

Arabella Derbyshire from BHS and Conor Hupman from Saltus were the multiple Individual event winners.

Derbyshire won the Over 10 Girls Individual Medley, Freestyle and Butterfly events. Hupman claimed Gold in the Freestyle, Backstroke and Individual Medley.

Somersfield dominated the Under 10 Girls Division with Gabby Cecheni winning the Breaststroke and Freestyle and Talluluah Parkinson won the Butterfly and Backstroke.

Isla Cooze from BHS was the only Double Winner in the Under 9 Division. She touched the wall first in the Freestyle and Breaststroke.

Saltus’ Dominic Wright won the Under 9 Boys Butterfly and Backstroke while schoolmate Charlie Hopkin won the Under 10 Freestyle and Breaststroke.
