City Holiday Garbage Collection Schedule
The City of Hamilton is advising the public that garbage collection in the City over the Christmas and New Year public holidays will operate on a reduced schedule.
A spokesperson said, “The City of Hamilton advises the public that garbage collection in the City over the Christmas and New Year public holidays will operate on a reduced schedule.
“As per the traffic notice issued, the last garbage collection will be at 10:00pm on Tuesday, December 24th. All garbage should be placed outside by 8:00pm. There will be no collection on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. The regular schedule will resume on Friday, December 27th.
“Similarly, garbage should be placed on the sidewalks by 8:00pm for the last collection on New Year’s Eve at 10:00pm. There will be no collection on New Year’s Day. The schedule will resume as per normal on January 2nd, 2020.
“The public are kindly asked to not put any trash out on the City sidewalks on days when there is no scheduled collection.”
