Police Investigation Into Assault Continues
The police continue their investigation regarding the assault of a 22-year-old man on Monday [Dec 16] at the Warwick Post Office, saying they are interested in speaking with anyone “that can identify any of the suspects involved.”
A police spokesperson said, “Inquiries continue regarding the reported assault of a 22-year-old man that occurred around 4pm Monday, December 16th at the Warwick Post Office on Middle Road.
“In particular, investigators are interested in speaking with any member of the public that can identify any of the suspects involved, described as four brown complexioned males wearing dark coloured jackets and black helmets.
“The incident was captured on video now circulating on social media, which shows three of the suspects attacking the 22-year-old man, while the fourth suspect stood at the front door.
“It is believed that all four suspects then left the area on separate motorcycles.
“Once again, any witnesses that have not already come forward – in particular any members of the public that can identify the four male suspects – are encouraged to share what they know.
“Please call Inspector Peter Stableford on 247-1445 or 717-2286 as soon as possible.
“Alternatively, anonymous calls can be made to the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
