January 28, 2020

The PLP expressed their condolences to the family of Mr. James Talbot, noting that his “passion for videography led him to be one of the instrumental players in bringing Cup Match to television.”

A spokesperson said, “The Progressive Labour Party expresses our heartfelt condolences to the family of lifetime member Mr. James Talbot.

“Well known to the Bermuda community for his videography skills, James Talbot was no stranger to the PLP media team and was instrumental in filming numerous PLP videos over the years.

“James played a key role in our historic 1998 victory, as well as 2003, 2007 and 2012 campaigns; most recently, he supported the 2017 general election campaign which resulted in our return to government.

“James’ passion for videography led him to be one of the instrumental players in bringing Cup Match to television for Bermudians at home to enjoy.

“Our deepest condolences are sent to his wife Linda, his son Aljae, and to his brother-in-law, former PLP Leader Marc Bean [and wife Simone], and the remainder of the Talbot and Bean families. May you be comforted by the memories you have of such a great person.”
