Photos: MSA Students Tour Tynes Bay Facility
After Grade 4 MSA student Oliver Chow wrote to Premier David Burt expressing his concerns about plastic recycling in Bermuda, the Premier invited Oliver and his classmates to take a tour of the Tynes Bay Waste Management Facility, allowing them a behind the scenes look at the facility.
A spokesperson said, “Oliver Chow, a Grade 4 student from MSA was so concerned about Plastic Recycling in Bermuda he decided to take his concerns to the top. He wrote a letter to Premier David Burt expressing how he felt and even giving a little advice.
“With this, Premier Burt invited all the Grade 4s for a special inside tour of the Tynes Bay Waste Management Facility. It was a real shock for the students to see how much goes through the plant from a little island like Bermuda. Thanks to all the staff at the Plant for showing the Teachers and Students around.”
