Essential Mail/Pension Cheques Being Delivered
While the Post Office frontline customer services is closed to the public and delivery is being impacted, limited delivery services “will be provided as it relates to essential mail, such as pension cheques.”
A Government spokesperson said, “As a reminder, and given the current developments with Covid-19, in an effort to limit public and staff exposure, all BPO frontline customer services closed to the public March 20. The offices will remain closed until further notice. This means that local and international mail intake ceased as of March 20.
“However, the BPO staff remain available to assist the public during working hours by phone on 297-7893, 297-7937 or 297-7866. They are also available on email at PostOffice@gov.bm and postofficeaccounts@gov.bm.
“As an added note, limited delivery services will also be provided as it relates to essential mail, such as pension cheques. It should be stressed that normal delivery schedules will be impacted as long as international flights remain suspended and local business interruptions remain in effect.
“The BPO is committed to assisting where it can. The public is reminded to continue to practice and follow the public health guidelines which can be found on Coronavirus.gov.bm.”
