Princess: ‘Temporarily Cease Normal Operations’

March 19, 2020

The Hamilton Princess said they “have made the difficult decision to temporarily cease normal operations” from March 21st until May 15th.

A spokesperson said, “The global pandemic of Covid 19 has had an unprecedented impact on the travel industry and on local businesses in Bermuda. We have reviewed the Government’s decision last night, Wednesday, March 18th, to close to LF Wade Airport to all commercial air traffic from 11.59pm on Friday, March 20th, until further notice.

“As such, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily cease normal operations from 5pm on Saturday, 21st of March until Friday, 15th of May. This decision will be regularly reviewed based on the ever changing environment and developments.

“This decision was not made lightly but has been made with the wellbeing of our guests, colleagues at the forefront, and the wider Bermuda community. We have committed to covering total health insurance payments for all our colleagues.”

Why don’t you pony up the boatload of cash to fund all that payroll with no revenue? Such a ridiculous comment especially in light of how much the owners have done for this country.

      Show some respect
