Consulate Cancel Nonimmigrant Visa Appts
In light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the U.S Consulate is “cancelling routine nonimmigrant visa appointments until further notice.”
A spokesperson said, “In accordance with the Bermuda Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 prevention guidelines, the U.S. Consulate General in Bermuda is implementing all appropriate measures to help control the spread of the virus.
“The Consulate remains open and available for American Citizen Services. However, as of March 17, the Consulate is cancelling routine non-immigrant visa appointments. The Consulate will resume routine visa services as soon as possible, but is unable to provide a specific date at this time.
“Any individual who has an urgent matter and needs to travel immediately, should email the Consulate at hamiltonconsulate@state.gov to request an emergency appointment.
“Anyone with questions or concerns may also call the Consulate at 441-705-0424 between 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. American citizens can contact a representative at the Consulate outside of normal business hours, for emergency purposes only, by calling 441-335-3828.
