Butterfield Bank To Open One Day Each Week
Butterfield will reopen its Banking Centres one day each week in order to provide essential banking services to the community during the Covid-19 period, with specific guidelines in place.
A spokesperson said, “With the agreement of the Government of Bermuda, in order to provide essential banking services to the community during the Covid-19 period, Butterfield will reopen its Banking Centres one day each week.
“The Banking Centres will open tomorrow [Thursday, 9 April] this week. Banking Centres will then be open on Friday, 17 April and on subsequent Fridays should the shelter-at-home order be extended by Government.
“Hours of operation are as follows:
Reid Street Banking Centre
- 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for customers with surnames A to L;
- 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for customers with surnames M to Z.
Rosebank Temporary Banking Centre
- 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Serving Seniors Only
Somerset Banking Centre
- 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
St. George Banking Centre
- 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
“Limited banking services will be available at the Banking Centres, as follows:
- Cheque cashing
- Cheque deposits
- Cash deposits through No-Wait Deposit depository
- Card collection
- Statement production
“Social distancing measures will be enforced at Butterfield Banking Centres.
“Butterfield Online will continue to be available as usual for a wider range of banking transactions, including bill payments, account transfers and wires.”
