RCCL Suspend Bermuda Cruises Through Oct 31
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines will be suspending all scheduled cruises to Bermuda through October 31st, 2020.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Statement:
The company’s website said, “Given ongoing global public health circumstances, Royal Caribbean Group has decided to extend the suspension of most sailings through September 15, 2020, excluding sailings from China, suspended through the end of July, and sailings to Bermuda, suspended through October 31, 2020. We are working with our guests and travel partners to address this disruption to their vacations and are genuinely sorry for their inconvenience.”
Minister of Tourism and Transport Zane DeSilva’s Statement:
Minister of Tourism and Transport Zane DeSilva said, “As a country we are disappointed to hear the news that valued cruise partners for Bermuda, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines [RCCL], will be voluntarily suspending all scheduled cruises to Bermuda through 31st October 2020.
“However, we fully understand. We have continued to meet regularly with Josh Carroll and his team at RCCL over the last 100-days, and we know how difficult this decision was for RCCL to make. Right now, our focus remains on the resumption of commercial airline services at L. F. Wade International Airport. We look forward to welcoming back Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines when the time is right.”
