Video: Cannon Fired To Salute Frontline Workers
The National Museum of Bermuda in Dockyard has reopened after a three-month temporary closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and held a cannon firing event today [June 24] in order to salute Bermuda’s frontline workers and recognize their important work.
The cannon was fired three times in total, twice by the Museum and once by the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS], with members of the Bermuda Police Service and Royal Bermuda Regiment in attendance.
NMB Executive Director Elena Strong previously said: “During our temporary closure, while we were more remote than ever, we found that history and culture helped keep us together. Now that we are re-open, we look forward to safely welcoming visitors back.”
