Gateway Systems Offers EBT Screening System
Gateway Systems Ltd has teamed up with Oaro and FLIR Systems Inc to provide Bermuda businesses with an Elevated Body Temperature [EBT] screening system.
A spokesperson said, “In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, many of us have heard ‘the new normal’ as a phrase defining how we must adapt and change our behaviour in order to keep ourselves and others safe.
“Gateway Systems’ management team has considered the implications of this and how we can contribute to keeping Bermuda safer using technology.
“Gateway Systems Ltd. is pleased to announce it has teamed up with Oaro and FLIR Systems Inc. to provide Bermuda businesses with the Elevated Body Temperature [EBT] screening system.
“The package consists of:
- “An infrared camera capable of obtaining temperature readings. This can be located at a reception desk; much like a regular security camera, the device can be pointed towards an entrance or record individuals entering a specific area.
- “EBT Software that uses canaliculi [tear duct] and lacrimal gland screening. Tear duct and tear gland temperature screening produces a more robust reading than a simple skin temperature reading [which can produce false elevated readings in warm climates] .
- “Database to store and report results. Track and trace are crucial parts of helping to isolate Covid-19 outbreaks. Recording who enters a building, restaurant, hotel or shop is key to helping isolate possible hot spots. The database stores and records name, time and date, and temperature readings. The information is stored securely [complying with privacy PIPA legislation] and can be easily extracted by an administrator should the Government need it to quickly trace a positive known case of the virus.
“For further information, please contact info@gateway.bm and we will be happy to arrange a demonstration.”
