LB Peak Performance To Launch Academy
LB Peak Performance is planning to create an indoor football training facility at Well Bottom in Southampton, with Coach Leo Burgess planning to host a football academy in September.
A spokesperson said, “One of Coach Leo’s dreams is to bring an indoor facility to the Island and offer an all year round training academy for athletes to help them reach maximum performance here on the Island.
“The facility is being worked on and will be up and running for September. The academy will also be up and running as of September! Coach is looking at every child within the current summer programs to invite to be a part of the academy.
“There will be three groups within the LB Peak Performance Academy.
- Juniors 7- 12
- Junior Elites 13-15
- Elites 16+
“And on Sunday mornings we’ll host a Sunday Skills & Drills for players 5-6 years old.
“Training schedules will be a mixture of early mornings and evenings. Each child is off from club football twice per week, so the way the performance academy will work is, all players will be required to train at least two evenings out the week [it’s their choice on what days work for their schedules] and at least one morning through the week.
“Each group will only have 10 spots available per season on a first come first serve basis out of the players coach Leo invites. We hope many of you can join the LB Peak Performance family moving forward. As always, without you, there will be no us, we appreciate you all!
