“The expert panel will discuss the Select Committee’s latest work which provides a blueprint for actionable solutions to achieve economic growth while protecting public health and reducing the threat of climate change.

“The National Wildlife Federation’s leadership on conservation and habitat issues, ranging from recent wins in Congress to the launch of new research on the protective value of nature, will also be a key focus. In addition, the webinar will offer perspectives on how global businesses are preparing to mitigate climate risks and allocate capital to support transition and adaptation needs.”

“The ongoing coronavirus crisis, together with the start of the 2020 hurricane season, has brought to the forefront the need for systemic approaches to mitigate our most important global risks. And no risk is more important to our long-term economic and social prosperity than climate related risk,” said Stephen Weinstein.

“Now more than ever, investment is needed in the most effective solutions and in building climate resilience. Given Bermuda’s role as the natural catastrophe risk capital of the world, and increasingly as the world’s climate risk capital, it is fitting that we facilitate dialogue around this critically important issue. I am very much looking forward to having a dynamic and informative discussion.”
