Allied World Support Businesses, 225 Gift Bags
Allied World Bermuda recently worked with 11 small businesses across the Island to create over 225 gift bags full of unique local products.
A spokesperson said, “Inspired by the #ChooseBDA campaign, Allied World Bermuda recently engaged in two separate gift initiatives as a way to support local small businesses, and say thank you to local brokers and employees. Working together with 11 small businesses across the Island, Allied World Bermuda created over 225 gift bags full of unique local products.”
“Feedback from gift recipients has been extremely positive, and the local businesses were thankful for the opportunity to introduce their products to more people.
“These initiatives were a great way to remind everyone of the talented individuals and incredible products we have right here in Bermuda,” said Colm Singleton, Head of Allied World Bermuda. “We know that small businesses have been hard hit by COVID-19, so being able to purchase their products, and promote the business, was one way we thought we could help out.”
“We were thrilled to have been asked by Allied World to be a part of their recent #ChooseBDA gift bag giveaway,” said Tyrone Smith, co-owner of Oatbelievable Granola Bermuda. As a small business we think it is important to promote awareness to what is available locally. We were a part of a diverse offering, highlighting the talents and ingenuity of local entrepreneurs.”
The company added, “As a global organization, Allied World is committed to supporting the communities where we do business. This initiative is another example of the way we continually strive to build relationships with individuals and companies in our community.”
Nice one – at least they have a plan to support local businesses unlike the PLP
