Digicel Donating 100 Backpacks With Supplies
Digicel will be helping families by gifting 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for returning students.
A spokesperson said, “As the new school year approaches and Government has confirmed that students in Bermuda will be returning to in-school learning, Digicel is excited to announce that we will be helping families by gifting 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for returning students.
“The backpacks will be made available through a number of outlets, some will be placed on Digicel’s Shake To Win platform, which is available for all Digicel’s customers through the MyDigicel App. Additional backpacks and smartphones will be donated to Gina Spence Productions Champions Program in support of their “Each One Reach One” Back To School Campaign.”
“Recognizing the economic challenges facing our community, we wanted to find a way to help families and students get back to school” said Leslie Rans, CEO of Digicel Bermuda. “I would also like to recognize and thank ZipX for donating the shipping costs and BGA for providing healthy snacks that will also be part of the back pack giveaway”
“These backpacks will be made available through the MyDigicel App every Saturday until September 4th.”
