Wreaths Laid To Commemorate End Of WWII
Yesterday morning [Aug 15] people including Governor John Rankin and Minister of National Security Renee Ming laid wreaths at the War Memorial on the Cabinet Office grounds on Front Street to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.
In an online post, Government House posted the photos below and said, “Yesterday morning the Governor, the Minister of National Security and others held a moment of silence and laid a wreath at the War Memorial on the Cabinet Office grounds to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the surrender of Japan which brought an end to World War II on 15 August 1945.”
