Large Group Exemption: Soul Family Event At West End Sail Boat Club
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Soul Family Event is an event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble at the West End Sail Boat Club 41 Malabar Road, Sandy’s Parish on Saturday September 19, 2020 between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons attending the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Maximum number of persons permitted to attend – 100
- Minimum number of security to be on duty as per the Ministry of Health Mass Gatherings Guidelines [1 security officer per 75 persons].
- Recording of names and contact information of persons attending the event for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained by organizer for 28 days after date of event.
- Wearing of masks required when moving about the venue when not seated.
- Availability of hand sanitizers and/or hand washing stations.
- Entertainment should be physically distanced from patrons.
- The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.
