Police Confirm: Man Dies Following Collision
The police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man has died following a collision in Devonshire today.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 12:00 noon today, Friday, 11th September, Police received a report of serious road traffic collision just east of the junction of Vesey Street and Middle Road in Devonshire.
“Details are limited at this time. However, it appears that a motorcycle and a private car were involved.
“The motorcycle rider, a male, was found unresponsive but breathing when police and other first responders arrived at the scene
“The motorcycle rider, a 21-year-old male, sustained multiple fractures and other injuries and was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment
“He however succumbed to those injuries a short time later.
“A family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the relatives of the deceased at this difficult time.
“The 67-year-old female driver of the motorcar involved was unhurt. No further information will be provided at this time.
“This marks the third road fatality for 2020.
