The AXA End-To-End will take place on Saturday, October 24 with the walk or cycle participants able to choose a start point anywhere along the route to avoid large gathering of crowds.

A spokesperson said, “The AXA End-to-End, Bermuda’s biggest fundraising community event for charities, will take place on October 24 after being postponed earlier this year due to Covid-19.

“However, because of Covid-19 requirements there are no official start and finish times or locations. Walk or cycle participants can choose a start point anywhere along the route that is convenient. The event will take place from 7am to 1pm and there will be water stops along the way.”

Chair of the AXA End-to-End Board, Anne Mello said: “In spite of the changes, the community spirit and energy that surrounds the event will still be present and we urge everyone to come out and join in the fun and help raise much needed funds for our selected Bermuda charities ”

“I want to say a special thank you to our title sponsor AXA XL and our Platinum Sponsors Butterfield Bank and Deloitte whose support is especially important to us during throughout these uncertain times.”

She added: “In working with the Ministry of National Security and obtaining their advice, we have tailored our event this year to ensure it can proceed without the need for an exemption.

“If you are taking part, I would urge you not to congregate in large groups, practice physical distancing and wear masks, all of which are part of the Covid-19 regulations.”

“The $13,000 school prize which has been made possible by increased sponsorship from Deloitte will still be available to the school that raises the most money.
