Cricket: Club Presidents To Meet With Council

October 9, 2020

The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] has arranged for club presidents to meet with the International Cricket Council [ICC] on Monday [Oct 12].

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Cricket Board, via President Lloyd Smith and Executive Director Calvin Blankendal, has arranged for club presidents to meet with the International Cricket Council.

“On Monday, October 12, all club presidents will have the opportunity to meet with the international governing board’s Americas Regional Manager, Fara Gorsi — which is deemed groundbreaking, as the ICC usually only meets directly with the President and CEO of each member nation.

“Ms. Gorsi will advise presidents of upcoming programmes and the BCB’s future in cricket advancement.

“BCB President Lloyd Smith and Executive Director Cal Blankendal have advocated for our club presidents to have direct access to the ICC Americas Regional Director, so that they can be advised on the programming and vision for 2021.

“It is important that the president of each club attends this groundbreaking meeting.”
