Govt: Five Permanent Secretary Reassignments

There have been five Permanent Secretary reassignments, the Government announced this morning.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Head of the Public Service, Dr. Derrick Binns, today announced five Permanent Secretary reassignments.

  • Dr. Jennifer Attride-Stirling – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Community Affairs and Sports
  • Aideen Ratteray Pryce – Chief Strategy Officer, Ministry of Health
  • Chris Farrow – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Seniors
  • Jasmin Smith – Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport
  • Gina Hurst-Maybury – Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Reform

The following remain in their current posts:

  • Anthony Manders – Financial Secretary, Ministry of Finance
  • Valerie Robinson-James – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education
  • Rozy Azhar – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs
  • Randy Rochester – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Works
  • Lt. Col. Edward Lamb – Permanent Secretary, Ministry for The Cabinet Office
  • Collin Anderson – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour
  • Shivon Washington-Jones – Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health
  • Dr. Danette Ming – Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of National Security
  • Marva-Jean O’Brien – Executive Officer, the Commission of Inquiry into Historic Land Losses.

Dr. Binns stated, “The swearing in of new Cabinet Ministers is an opportunity to revisit the assignments of the senior-most officers in the Public Service.

“These reassignments are opportunities for the Permanent Secretaries and Acting Permanent Secretaries to continue to provide outstanding service to the people of Bermuda while at the same time developing and shaping the Public Service.”
