Video: ‘Taking Off’ On Curbside Drop Off Points
Skyport has released the latest episode of ‘Taking Off’, a video series with host Mikaela Pearman that highlights the airport redevelopment project, with this episode highlighting the passenger curbside drop off points.
Speaking in the episode, Mikaela Pearman said, “As we get closer to the opening of the new passenger terminal building, I’ll be sharing what to expect in the new space in a new ten-part series of Taking Off.
“This is the very first episode and we will take a look at the passenger curbside drop off points.
“At the existing terminal, all vehicles drive up to the departures area and drop off passengers curbside.
Things will look a little bit different at the new terminal building.
“Buses and private vehicles will drop off passengers on the outer curb, similar to what happens at larger airports.
“Only authorized vehicles – taxis and the like – will be able to access the inner curb to drop off and pick up passengers.
“This change will ensure the process outside of the terminal is more efficient and most importantly, that it meets international security requirements.
“I’ll be back next week to talk all things parking.
