As of 31 December 2019, there were 39 inmates serving life sentences, the physical plants of all three correctional facilities have “clearly deteriorated over the last three decades,” and from November 2017 to December 2019 “there have been 47 foreign nationals incarcerated in Her Majesty’s Prisons.”

These are just a few of the details included in the Bermuda Parole Board report, which was recently tabled in the House of Assembly.
