First & Premier Division Football Results
St. David’s, Flanagan’s Onions, Devonshire Colts 4, Somerset Eagles, and Devonshire Cougars all claimed victories in this weekend’s First Division and Premier Division football action, while two matches ended in a draw.
First Division: Social Club 2 Boulevard Blazers 2
At the Police Field, Social Club and the Boulevard Blazers played to a 2 – 2 draw, Phillip Mallory gave Social Club the lead in the 18th minute, however the Boulevard Blazers pulled level in the 33rd minute when Teh-kei Taylor scored. Takeyhi Walker-Samuels would then give the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 45th minute, only for Ryan Parris to equalize with a goal from the penalty spot in the 84th minute.
First Division: Wolves 0 St. David’s 1
At the Garrison Field, visitors St. David’s defeated Wolves 1 – 0, with the lone goal of this game coming in the first half via an own goal.
First Division: Flanagan’s Onions 5 Ireland Rangers 1
At the BAA Field, the Flanagan’s Onions defeated Ireland Rangers 5 – 1. The Flanagan’s Onions got a hat-trick from Shaki Swan, with Akim Johnston and Jahvon Morgan adding a goal each, while Jonte Pearson scored the lone goal for Ireland Rangers.
Premier Division: Devonshire Colts 4 St. George’s Colts 2
At the Police Field, the Devonshire Colts defeated the St. George’s Colts 4 – 2.
Chemari Henry gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 7th minute when he converted from the penalty spot, Rahzir Smith-Jones doubled the Devonshire Colts lead with a stunner from outside the box. Henry would then make it 3 – 0 to the Devonshire Colts with his second goal of the game in the 54th minute, and then three minutes later Jaquari Paynter made it 4 – 0.
Lashon Dill pulled a goal back for the St. George’s Colts, and in the 83rd minute Jahron Dickson found the back of the net to make it 4 – 2.
Premier Division: Somerset Eagles 3 X-Roads 2
At the White Hill Field, the Somerset Eagles picked up their first points of the season with this 3 – 2 win over X-Roads.
The Somerset Eagles got 2 goals from Tahj Wade and a single strike from Koshun Durrant, which was in the 90th minute, while Donavan Thompson and Paul Simons scored a goal each for X-Roads.
Premier Division: Southampton Rangers 1 Dandy Town Hornets 1
At the Southampton Oval, the Southampton Rangers and the Dandy Town Hornets played to a 1 – 1 draw. The Southampton Rangers got a goal from Jarazinho Bassett, while Lynn Tucker scored the goal for the Dandy Town Hornets.
Premier Division: Devonshire Cougars 3 PHC Zebras 1
At the Devonshire Rec, the Devonshire Cougars defeated the PHC Zebras 3 – 1, the Devonshire Cougars got first-half strikes from Che-Kai Caisey, Zari Simmons, and Chris Caisey, while Enrique Russell scored the lone goal for the PHC Zebras in the second half.
