Cricket: BCB Seeking Volunteer Treasurer
The Bermuda Cricket Board is looking for a volunteer Treasurer who will be able to provide 8-10 hours per month.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] is the official ICC [International Cricket Council] recognized organization chosen to represent Bermuda in terms of cricket issues.
“We are a Bermuda registered charity #350, providing grassroots, amateur elite and international cricket opportunities via our national teams. We are looking for a volunteer Treasurer to the Board, who will be able to provide us with 8-10 hours per month, to serve in the role, which includes the following:
- “Attend monthly Board meetings held [in person or virtually via Zoom].
- “Review monthly financial reports.
- “Chair quarterly finance committee meetings, review and update policies and procedures as required
- “Review financial statements and liaise with the auditors [KPMG], accounting service provider and BCB employees to ensure that the audit process is efficient and reporting deadlines are adhered to.
- “Work with the Executive Director to prepare the annual budget.
- “Liaise with Bank re signatories and other banking related matters.
- “Review and approval of monthly payroll for 3 employees. The accounting service provider prepares a payroll file that theTreasurer reviews and approves.
