Flatts Inlet: Marine Traffic Restricted Monday
Flatts Inlet will be restricted to marine traffic on Monday [Dec 14] from 7.30am to 3.00pm in order for the center span of the pedestrian bridges be installed, with boaters asked to avoid the area during that time.
A spokesperson said, “It is advised that the center span of the pedestrian bridges across Flatts Inlet will be installed on Monday, December 14, 2020, if suitable weather conditions prevail.
“As such, marine traffic in and out of the inlet will be restricted between the hours of 7.30am to 3.00pm in order to allow for the safe operation of the barge and crane performing the installation. Boaters are asked to avoid the area during this time.
“Friends of Bermuda Railway Trail would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience. Should there be any questions regarding this matter, please direct queries to the attention of Friends of Bermuda Railway project manager Tucker Murphy at 518-6650 or 777-4446.”
