The UN has removed cannabis from schedule IV of the 1961 Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, the US House of Representatives has passed a bill to remove cannabis from the list of federally controlled substances, although a Republican controlled Senate will almost certainly not take it up, support for full legalization is in the low 90% of the US population. Our government should immediately de-schedule cannabis then proceed with plans for a (sensibly) “regulated framework”.
