Have You Submitted Ocean Use Survey Yet?
The Government is urging people to complete the online Ocean Use Survey, saying that they are “working to create a plan for Bermuda’s ocean to ensure a thriving economy, healthy oceans, and secure livelihoods.”
The Government posted online, saying, “Have you submitted your Ocean Use Survey yet? We’re working to create a plan for Bermuda’s ocean to ensure a thriving economy, healthy oceans, and secure livelihoods.
“Right now, we need to hear from you! Where do you go fishing? Where’s your favourite beach? If you use the ocean in any way, time is running out to take our Ocean Use Survey. This survey allows you to map the areas around Bermuda that you use to help us protect what is important to you.
“You have until February 15th to get your response in. Your voice deserves to be heard as we create a more prosperous and healthier Bermuda together. Your individual responses will be kept confidential.
“The Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme [BOPP] is a partnership between the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Waitt Institute, and Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences [BIOS]. The goal of Bermuda Ocean Prosperity Programme is to foster the sustainable, profitable, and enjoyable use of ocean resources for present and future generations.
