Madelyn Moore Named WAC Swimmer Of Week
Bermuda’s Madelyn Moore has been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer Of The Week after an impressive performance over the weekend in Colorado Springs.
The school’s announcement said, “After a monstrous performance over the weekend in Colorado Springs, junior Madelyn Moore has been named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
“In a weekend that saw the Bears earn 13 wins across two days of quad dual action, Moore accounted nearly for half of them. Individually, Moore took the top spot in the 100 free [50.14] and 50 free [23.00].
“As the opening leg of each relay, Moore set the tone and paced the Bears to wins in three wins in four. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, her opening 50 of 22.77 was just .01 off an NCAA “B” cut time.
“Moore is the first Northern Colorado swimmer or diver to earn the distinction this season.”
