Tennis: MTM Singles Championships Day One
The Manders Tennis Management 2021 Singles Championships got underway at the Fairmont Southampton Tennis Courts a day later than scheduled after the first day was completely washed out
Unfortunately, rain would also halt the day’s play. In an afternoon A Division match, Trey Mallory was leading Jon Brunson when play was halted. Mallory had won the first set 6-2, he was then leading 1-0 in the second set.
In early action, Daniel Phillips defeated Vincent Boisvert in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 in the A Division match, while Andrew Phillips won his Under 14 Division match defeating Tristan Petit 6-2, 6-3.
In B Division action, Sean Anthony defeated Sebastian Pukke 6-3, 6-4, while Charles Boisvert defeated Alex Lefebvre 6-1, 6-1.
