City Of Hamilton Announces 2021 Events
The City of Hamilton announced their signature events line-up for 2021, noting that “every year the City produces a series of special events that include outdoor movies, festivals, arts and cultural initiatives and family activities staged across the City.”
Director of Marketing and Communications Jessica Astwood said, “After a semi low-key 2020, The City is proud to showcase exciting event concepts that champion the interests of the City for 2021 while also being mindful of Covid-19 restrictions.”
“Last year’s Taste of Bermuda event was a roaring success with close to 2,500 people showing up to participate in a unique drive-in food festival, and a 40k injection into the local food and beverage sector, so we are having a lot of fun looking at impactful and purposeful ways to bring an elevated experience again in September of this year.”
“This year’s offerings are as follows:
- April – Fresh Air Films Drive-in
- May – City Scavenger Hunt
- July – Summer Sundays
- September – Taste of Bermuda
- October – Fresh Air Films Halloween
- November – Tree Lighting
- December – Fresh Air Films
- December – Late Night Shopping
“The Fresh Air Films Series is also a staple in our event calendar and a no-brainer for families looking for an enjoyable, free and contactless outing. There will be kid-friendly films first, followed by more mature-themed films for the second seating,” a spokesperson added.
“The City is proud to be charged with interrupting the Covid cycle, challenging traditional event formats and bringing quality events to the Bermuda public that underscore the value of gathering in a responsible way as well as collaborating with City stakeholders to make our efforts multi-dimensional.”
“Further details of each event will be shared with the public closer to the time. It should be noted that all events are subject to change in compliance with regulations and restrictions on public gatherings as issued by the Bermuda Government. Please visit cityofhamilton.bm for updates regarding COVID-19 related calendar changes.”
