DWD, Local Recruiters Hold Networking Event

The Department of Workforce Development partnered with local recruitment agencies to “hold a virtual networking event to help talented Bermudians secure employment.”

A Government spokesperson said, “On Friday, 5th February, the event brought together approximately 60 Bermudian corporate professionals, living on the island and abroad, to network and explore employment opportunities in various fields including accounting, legal, corporate administration, and others.

“The local recruiters participating in the event included:

  • Executemps Ltd.
  • Expertise Group Limited
  • Frontier Financial Services Ltd.
  • Island Employment Partners
  • Ontru
  • The Platinum Group Ltd.
  • Performance Solutions Ltd.

“For Bermuda to successfully navigate these challenging social and economic times, it is essential for the Government and local businesses to work together,” said Minister of Labour Jason Hayward.

“And so I am proud of all the local recruitment agencies and the Department of Workforce Development for holding this Virtual Networking Event for Bermudians. I thank you for your participation and dedication to put so many employment professionals in contact with local businesses that are looking to hire new staff.”

“This was an excellent opportunity for Bermudian corporate professionals seeking employment opportunities to reach a large number of local recruiters and demonstrate the value they bring.”

“I am confident that many participating in the event are now on the path to employment in their chosen field. Most importantly, this event and others like it help improve the social and economic conditions in our country and bring us that much closer to Bermuda seeing its best days.”

A spokesperson added, “The consensus from all recruiters was that the event was a resounding success, allowing them to meet many intelligent and capable candidates. The recruiters will work with all the participants to assist them in securing employment with local employers.
