The Ministry received 552 test results and three were positive for Covid-19 — one imported, one local transmission with known contact and one under investigation — so the island currently has 31 active cases.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health received 552 test results since the last update, and three [3] were positive for COVID-19. The first new case is classified as imported by a resident who arrived on American Airlines AA 308 from Miami on 2 March 2021 and tested positive on their day 8 test.
“The second new case is classified as local transmission with known contact as they are associated with known cases. The third new case is classified as under investigation. This case is a resident with no currently identified link to other known cases or history of travel in the past 14 days.
“Additionally, since the last update, there were no recoveries.

“The Ministry of Health strongly urges all individuals to get the coronavirus vaccination when it is their turn.
“All Bermuda residents play a critical role in helping reduce the spread and impact of the coronavirus,” said Kim Wilson, JP, MP, Minister of Health. “Getting vaccinated is one of the single most important measures that individuals can take to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community.”
“We are currently in Phase 2 of our vaccination programme. However, our priority is our seniors. If you are aged 65 or older and have not had the vaccine, please register or take advantage of our walk-in service at the Bermuda College.”
“Yesterday we had 164 walk-ins. That is fantastic news. The Bermuda College vaccination centre will accept walk-ins again on Monday and Tuesday, 15 and 16 March, for those persons 65 years and older who are unable to register for the vaccination on line. We will also accept walk-ins for those persons 50 or older. However, again, please note that priority will be given to those 65 and older. Walk-in appointments are from 3 pm to 6:45 pm. Bermuda College will not accept walk-ins tomorrow, Saturday and the centre is closed on Sunday.”
“When you go for your vaccination, please wear clothing that makes it easy to access your upper arm. The COVID-19 vaccine is only available to Bermuda Residents. Proof of ID and residency will be requested at your appointment.
“For question, please visit our Vaccine FAQ’s or email us at vaccine@gov.bm or call the COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at 444-2498 and select option #2.
“As a reminder, members of the public aged 50+ have the option of calling Age Concern’s Vaccination Hotline to receive information on the Covid-19 vaccine, register for their vaccination appointment and receive transportation to and from their appointment as needed, free of charge.
“Call 238-7525 between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pmfrom Monday to Friday to speak to an Age Concern representative who will record your necessary information and register your appointment through their partnership with the Ministry of Health.
“Transportation services will be provided through Project Action and will include travel to and drop-off after your vaccination appointment at both Vaccination Centers; the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and Bermuda College.”
